As the debate over health care reform heats up in the United States, a sub-debate of increasing significance is that of the Canadian system. Natalie Mehra, a critic of the current health care system in Canada, is an even stronger critic of those Canadians in the US decreeing the failure of the Canadian system, in favor of a privatized one. Mehra shares many of the same criticisms of the Canadian system as these figures like Dr. Brian Day do, but a completely different vision for how to overcome them.
Your message is outweighed by your stupidity. To state that it is easier to change an entire government run healthcare system than to change the practices of a single hospital (even if the owners are half a world away) is ludicris. Thank you for wasting 12 minutes of my day that I will never get back!
Nathan – This is for you. After Medicare was passed, all the elderly went on it within 9 months. And this was done by the old paper method without computers. If we had to immediately go back to the draft, you can bet we’d do it in short order.
What’s ludicrous is that anyone would waste time reading a comment on something so complicated as healthcare from a person who doesn’t know how to spell and wouldn’t take the time to look up a work he clearly doesn’t understand.
