PRESSURE THE SENATE RULES COMMITTEE
S. 340, introduced by Sen. Manny Diaz, would require a 2/3 majority vote to pass a state single payer bill. This bill is a clear attack on both healthcare justice and democracy, and if passed would set a dangerous precedent. S. 340 has already passed through 3 of the 4 committees of jurisdiction and only has to pass through one more to get a vote on the Senate floor: the Rules Committee.
FLORIDA RESIDENTS: if your Senator sits on the Rules Committee, ask them to vote NO on this bill. Then please call the Chair and ask them to vote NO.
If your Senator is not on the Rules Committee, you can call the Chair and ask them to vote NO.
