New York State Single-Payer Activists to Hold Press Confrences on ACA Ruling

Single Payer Advocates to Hold News Conferences in Albany, Rochester, NYC, Ithaca on Thursday June 28 to respond to US Supreme Court decision on Affordable Care Act.

Supporters of an expanded and improved Medicare for All program will hold a series of news conferences and rallies throughout NYS to respond to the expected U.S. Supreme Court ruling on the Affordable Care Act.

Unlike ACA, Medicare, a single payer system for the elderly, has already been found constitutional. Advocates point out that compared to ACA and its insurance mandate, a single payer program would provide health care to all Americans, while ACA leaves tens of millions without insurance and many more saddled with expensive coverage that won’t cover all costs, especially in emergencies.
