Four AFSCME locals and a Northern California based District Council have endorsed HR 676, national single payer healthcare legislation introduced by Congressman John Conyers (D-MI).

The four locals are AFSCME East Bay Regional Parks, Local 2428; AFSCME Local 2019; Pleasant City Employees’ Association, AFSCME Local 955; and AFSCME Local 444.

The Oakland-based AFSCME District Council 57 also endorsed the Conyers bill. In a letter to Congressman Conyers informing him of their endorsement, Nancy Swindell, Council President, and George Popyack, Council Director, thanked Conyers for his “strong leadership on this important issue to our nation.”

    Hey everyone Bernie Sanders of Vermont has the Petition and a POLL a NEW Poll he is asking everyone to go there and take the POLL and sign the Petition ..
    Oakland has so many poor homeless people …and no one has health care there ! I know I have cousins who live there …and not no one they know have any kind of health care of any kind …

    Today the House Health Care comitee has said we have the option for Health care …please someone tell me is it true ??Is it TRUE Katie did we get universal Health care ? Please someone tell me what they mean are they really going to give us health care ??? I am elated and crying ….Are they saying they will help the uninsured ??? a Good National Health Care ?
