Action Alert: Ask Your Rep. to Cosponsor HR 676

Watching working people stand up and fight back inspires us! We don’t have to tell you that Wisconsin’s groundswell is what we need to create real change.

As workers lose benefits, the people in Wisconsin and around the country know that unreasonably high health insurance costs are at the root of the fiscal crisis in their state and across the nation.

Shifting these costs onto poor and working people is NOT the answer.

Improved Medicare for all is.

Rep. John Conyers reintroduced HR 676 just a few weeks ago. Single-payer healthcare, as proposed by HR 676, the Expanded and Improved Medicare for All Act, would do a lot towards ending state fiscal crises across the US and will put an end to ever-increasing healthcare costs.

Will you demand that your Congressional Representative cosponsor HR 676?

Call your Representative now.

And/or sign our HR 676 petition now.

If you know who your Representative is, call the capitol switchboard at 866-220-0044.

HR 676 saves money and expands care to those who continue to be uninsured. It retains free choice of physicians and would cover every person in the US for all necessary medical care including prescription drugs and dental. No copays, no deductibles, no hassles–just healthcare.

Everyone has a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This implicitly states that people have a right to live, to receive care if they need it. The right to live shouldn’t be determined by a person’s ability to pay or be covered by insurance companies (which solely exist to make profits for themselves while covering as little as possible while still staying marketable).

It’s economically and humanly wise to make the move to Single-Payer.

There are only 2 kinds of people in America:
Those who own, work for, or invest in health insurance companies….and everyone else.

It’s amazing to me how the states that need it the most FIGHT it the most. Incredible.

The only logical financial option that is feasible is to take the entire for-profit health insurance out of the picture. Health care is a human right. HR-676!

Critical to educate the American public on HR 676. Takes big bucks-Tv,Newspaper ads, lobbying congress, etc. Not $100, 200,000 but many millions. Like the major parties raise for elections, like other for or non-profits raise funds. I have some ideas that may or not be viable and many of you out there have many ideas. Call HC-Now Hqs with your ideas.
The public have shown they’re heavily in favor of universal health care and Medicare for All in particular! They must be shown that HR 676 is the best vehicle to get there.
Membership can and must be expanded to the millions to have the critical mass to pressure congress to get this bill thru.
Many self-interested groups can be motivated by what HR 676 can do/mean for them: Seniors on Medicare, small businesses, churches, single women-mothers, children caring for elderly parents, children of seniors, families with or without children, more! These are voters who politicians respect and FEAR.

It is time for a health care overhaul, and only you can do it. As a Physician, I have seen the devastating effect of our current health care system on the families whose children I have cared for. Please support HR-676 and begin the process of change.

I have supported HR. 676 since it’s creation. I continued to support it through Dennis Kucinich’s run for President in 2008.
    Please pass HR. 676.

It is obvious that even the health care companies that used to be non-profit (as well as all the others) will not be persuaded to moderate their profits. It’s time to go to the single payer solution as the only financially responsible way to deliver health care. It is also time to remove the stranglehold of the AMA on the number of doctors allowed to enroll and receive degrees, remove the profit motive from specialization (especially plastic surgery) to increase the number of GPs, and work harder against Medicare fraud and increase penalties. By bilking the system of millions of dollars, the criminals force a de facto rationing of health care, thus causing the death of many unfortunate people.

The time for Single Payer Health Care is now. The US must take the profit motive out of health care. Lives are in the balance and the for-profit aspect of health care must stop now.
Alternative medicine must be encouraged by the government===stuff that is safe, natural and effective.
    Thank you.
    Respectfully,
    Richard P. Fuller
