  1. George C. Williston says:

Senator Max Baucus and his committee is a disgrace to the idea of self- respecting self government. A disgrace to this experiment in government we are now experiencing. A disgrace to a failing Congress that has failed the American people for 60+ years in health insurance and health care…. Branding single payer health insurance as socialized medicine is nothing but conservative mud slinging as a substitute for thinking.

  2. Ruth Uppena says:

I detest how the senators laughed at those activists pleading for single-Payer healthcare. Please let single-payer at least have a seat. Hear them out. The taxes may go up to 33%—not the % that was presented!

  3. Tom says:

Sen. Baucus should be removed from his seat on the senate finance committee.. It is now known that he has received contributions in the hundreds of thousands of dollars from for-profit health insurance companies.. His stance on keeping single payer off the table is directly related to these contributions.. He is protecting the for profit health insurance companies.. This man is a disgrace tho the United States senate and the people he is supposed to represent!!!

  4. Dan Kanoza says:

Senator Baucus is a disgrace to humanity. I can’t believe he laughed at people who advocated for a Single Payer system. I have to assume that the HMO lobbyists have given him a substantial amount of money or benies.

  5. Richard Martini says:

As obvious as it is, we will not get single payer here until the current attitude in Washington and the people align together and see that when there are insurance companies involved prices go up, quality goes down and unfortunate deaths and sickness ocurrs, just as it has all along. Notice how Massuchusetts is starting to fail in their Mitt Romney inspired health insurance mandate. This will also ocurr, in time, with any insurance company involved. So be patient all and watch what happens with M Bacchus’ ideas and the results. There are 50 million without health insurance and as many underinsured. That is almost 1/3 of us all-nothing to laugh at. Just hope they pass their greedy policy sooner than later so we can align and get our rights for health and protection as soon as possible. May we all hang in there and stay healthy until that brighter day comes.
Finally, watch and support us in California for single payer, we are just one Governor vote away!

  6. Dr Stephen Godfrey says:

All our medical-psychological staff were shocked at Senator Baucus laughter at the senate hearing!!! We have been watching it on twitter-CNN and POD CAST and the entire hospital-medical community here of over 1200 people were watching thta incident!!! We were truly suprised that the senator would show such disrespect to people who support a single payer system—-whom the senators DO NOT GIVE A VOICE TOO!!!!! Amazing !!!! A democrat destroying the process !!!
Our administrators almost all had a heart attack as we all have been working for the government option single payer option !! Senator Baucus is out of touch wit reality-he sold his soul–sold out-and lost all our respect !!! Get him off the committee !!! They should be all ashamed !!! Doctors-Nurses-Medical Professionals for Health Care Reform-Single payer system TODAY!!!
