You are invited to join Healthcare-NOW! activists from around the country to plan our strategy to win guaranteed single-payer national health insurance. By learning and sharing with one another we can build on the tremendous successes of the last year and develop the plan to push Congress to implement single-payer national health insurance NOW.

Sat, 2pm – 4pm – Pre-Conference Southern Hospitality Meet & Greet with Single Payer Allies
Sat, 4pm – 9pm – Strategy Conference
Sun, 9am – 5pm – Strategy Conference continues
Fee: $40 for members (anyone who has donated in 2011 and/or attended 2010 conference in Philadelphia) and $60 for non-members. A very limited amount of scholarships are available (see below).
Food: Dinner will be provided on Saturday night. Breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
There are two airports in Houston, TX. It is preferable to book your flight to the William P. Hobby Airport. Intercontinental Airport is 32 miles north of Hobby Airport and about 45-minutes to 90-minutes by car, taxi, shuttle or Metro bus.

Scholarships
Healthcare-NOW! can waive the registration fee for a very limited amount of single-payer activists coming to the conference. We cannot, however, pay for your travel or hotel. Please contact Vanessa@Healthcare-NOW.org if you’d like a scholarship to the conference.
Hotel Reservations
The Hilton Hobby Hotel will give conference attendees a group discount. Rooms with a single king-sized bed or two double-sized beds are both $90 a night. Reserve your room by January 13, 2012 to receive the discount.

Solidarity Housing
There will be a limited number of free or very low cost solidarity housing options through the Health Care For All Texas members. Email Vanessa@Healthcare-Now.org if you’re interested.
Getting to the Hotel/Conference from the Airport
The Hilton is less than a mile from the William P. Hobby Airport. The Hilton hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the airport. A taxi is $10. For directions and other travel information go here.
Intercontinental Airport is 32 miles north of Hobby Airport and about 45-minutes to 90-minutes by car, taxi, shuttle or Metro bus. Taxi costs about $62.00 between airports.
