2010 National Strategy Conference
Join Us in Philadelphia!
You are invited to join Healthcare-NOW! activists from around the country to plan our strategy to win guaranteed single-payer national health insurance. By learning and sharing with one another we can build on the tremendous successes of the last year and develop the plan to push Congress to implement single-payer national health insurance NOW.

Hotel Reservations
Contact Katie at info@healthcare-now.org or 1-800-453-1305 to book a room at a nearby Holiday Inn Express and a group discounted rate. Deadline for booking discounted hotel room rates is October 29th.
Special room rates are available at the Holiday Inn Express just a few blocks from the William Way Center (map) where conference activities are scheduled in Center City Philadelphia. You must book your room through Healthcare-NOW!, not the hotel, in order to access the discounted room rates. Payment for hotel is due upon check-in.

A double room is $121. A cot can be ordered for $10 a night. With the cot, the rooms are large enough to comfortably sleep 3-5 people. ADA rooms available.
The hotel offers free wi-fi, breakfast bar, and gym.
Getting to the Hotel/Conference from the Airport
The Holiday Inn Express is located at 1305 Walnut Street in Center City Philadelphia. The conference is at 1315 Spruce street in Center City.
Taxi
Taxis have a flat rate of $28.50 from the airport to Center City Philadelphia.
Shuttle/Van
Take the shuttle from the airport – $10.00/each way through Lady Liberty Shuttle service.
• Reservations are not required for airport arrivals. Service is available from 5:30 am until 12:00 midnight
• Shuttles depart about every 10-15 minutes.
• Upon Arrival please proceed to the Ground Transportation Counter (located in Baggage Claim) – Register with the counter attendant (ticket number will be called when van arrives)

Wheelchair Accessible Transportation From Airport
Passengers with disabilities can make a reservation for airport pickup through Lady Liberty Shuttle by calling CCT Connect, a 24 hour service. The telephone number is 215-580-7700.

Train from Airport
Take SEPTA’s Airport Line to the Market East stop for $7 one way. The Market East station is about five blocks from the hotel and eight from the William Way Center. Schedule and more information here.
Driving
If staying at the hotel, parking is available at Patriot Parking, across the street from the hotel at 1305 Walnut Street, for $18.00/all day and $21.00/over night.
There’s a paid parking lot across the street from the William Way Center if you’re not staying at the hotel. Street parking can be sparse in Center City, but is generally free all day Sunday. Saturday street parking has a two-hour limit.
The William Way Center is wheelchair accessible.
